Plano is not only a great city for its schools and booming growth, but also for all of the free family activities new townhome owners can enjoy with the family! From beautiful parks, to incredible public libraries, Plano, Texas has a little something for all ages this summer and fall.
First of all, begin by considering your options to relinquish in the outdoors when the temperature starts to drop down and visit the many parks and playgrounds in this beautiful green city. One of the biggest parks in Plano, Bob Woodruff Park, will be conveniently located near our futureBerkshire Place townhome community. This park is amazing for getting some good exercise along scenic trails bordering a small lake or engaging in an intense match of sand volleyball. The park also provides access to a fishing pier and two large playgrounds for toddlers and older kids.
If you don’t feel like stepping into the outdoors, visit one of Plano’s public libraries. Harrington Library has several story time sessions for all ages to enjoy as well as summer movies you can see for free at 3pm on Mondays.
Downtown Plano is also the perfect place to get a taste of the city’s history and enjoy anything from shopping and eating to theater, art, and music. Did you know downtown Plano also hosts a variety of events including anInternational Festival every year? This year’s festival will be held on October 18th in downtown Plano’s Haggard Park and attendees will be able to enjoy tastes, sounds, fashion, and even art from around the world!
