The results are in. Frisco is quickly becoming the best place to live in Texas, and the planned new urban communities make it a popular destination. According to a recent survey by NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website, Frisco is the new #1 ranked city for young families. And it’s not a surprise—a growing community, highly rated schools, your choice of entertainment venues—what is there not to be excited about? It’s not just Frisco, either.
Spencer Tierney, an analyst at NerdWallet, comments on how the entire State of Texas is now booming.
"Texas now ranks as the fastest-growing state for job growth, according to the Bureau of Labor statistics,” Tierney said. “The Lone Star State provides a strong infrastructure of growing local economies, stellar schools and a competitive housing market. Our study revealed that school districts here offer more than just impressive test scores; they’re also investing in new sports facilities and innovative classroom programs.”
If that’s not enough to get you thinking, here are three reasons why families are suddenly considering making their move to Frisco.
A THRIVING COMMUNITY
Over the past 14 years, Frisco’s population has grown by more than 150,000 people and income growth is approximately 10% higher on average than the rest of the state. On top of that, it’s only a short drive away from Downtown Dallas. Along with its 1,400 acres of parks and gardens, Frisco is a big place with a small-town feel that makes residents proud to call it home.
Frisco boasts an excellent school district that meets and surpasses the standards set by the Texas Education Agency. Furthermore, GreatSchools.org, a community resource for families and schools, rates Frisco ISD an overall 9 out of 10. In fact, Allen Elementary School, Wester Middle School, Griffin Middle School, and Vandeventer Middle School all rank 10 out of 10 by GreatSchools.org.
Frisco will soon be welcoming new urban communities to the area. The Canals at Grand Park, a 152 acre urbanism-style planned community, is currently pre-selling brand new luxury homes. The community offers contemporary designs, superior craftsmanship and a range of amenities and comforts to fit your lifestyle. There’s also a wealth of entertainment venues like Frisco Square, Dr. Pepper Ballpark, The Shops at Starwood all located nearby. Visit The Canals at Grand Park website for more information.
There’s a lot to like about Frisco, TX. Your family might not be ready to pack up and move this week, but when the time is right it’s a city you should definitely keep in mind.
