Fight Hunger One Bowl at a Time

CB JENI Homes loves getting involved in charitable events around our communities, and we encourage all of our homeowners to do that same. One of the biggest upcoming events near our many townhomes in McKinney is Empty Bowls McKinney. Here’s some more information on this event that you’ll surely want to take part in at the end of this month:

When: Thursday, April 27, 2017

Where: McKinney Performing Arts Center

What Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM


Fighting Hunger One Bowl at a Time

Getting its start in 2012, Empty Bowls McKinney is an annual event that focuses on ending hunger in Collin County, and specifically, McKinney, TX. They bring artists and restaurants together to auction off art from local artists and to share a simple meal of soup and bread. The main beneficiary of Empty Bowls McKinney is the Community Lifeline Centerwith proceeds from the event going towards their food pantry and programs to address food insecurity.

Who’s Serving Up to End Hunger

Every year, different restaurants and vendors are able to sign up to serve food and help fight hunger. The 2017 vendors include:


Art Auction

As mentioned earlier, along with all the food, there is also an art auction. You’ll find work by local artists, along with student artists from high school and college and amateur artists. You can check out and bid on all the art that will be available here
